How it Works

We’ve outlined our process for helping our candidates find their perfect fit, so you know what to expect throughout the hiring, onboarding, and placement process. We look forward to helping you find your dream job.

01

Step 1: The Job Search

Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step to finding a potential opportunity, and we’re so happy you’ve joined us. Hopefully, you will find a position that could be the right fit for you, and take the next step to submit your resume.

02

Step 2: The Application Process

Once you have found a position you are interested in, submit your resume through our website or another job board. Our recruiters review new applications daily and will review your skills and qualifications to ensure that you meet the requirements of the position. If you do not meet the requirements, we will let you know and keep your application in our database if a new opportunity arises that you are qualified for.

03

Step 3: The Interview

A recruiter will reach out to introduce themselves and further discuss the position with you. Based on your availability and preferred meeting platform, we will arrange an interview. During the interview, ask as many questions about the position as you would like. We’re here to help.

04

Step 4: Assessment Testing

During this step, you will be sent assessment training to measure your competency in different areas. This step of the process will help us to evaluate some of your skills and assist us in your placement.

05

Step 5: Representation Agreement

If you have met all of the position requirements and passed the assessment testing, we will invite you to join The Job Shoppe’s candidate network. This process includes completing the required paperwork and an onboarding information session.

06

Step 6: Position Dispatch

Your recruiter will provide you the information in written detail about the new position before you report for your first day. Of course, we are here to answer any questions you may have and ensure that you are ready for your new role.

07

Step 7: Ongoing Assignment

We are only successful if you are successful, and that’s why your recruiter will be in contact with you throughout your placement to ensure that you are enjoying your work and happy with the assignment.

08

Step 8: Position Ended

There may come a time when your assignment will come to an end either because our client no longer requires that position or you would like to look for a new opportunity. Either way, we are here to support you and help you find your next position.

How do I register?

To register with us, simply submit your resume to one of our open positions. We add each new applicant into our candidate network and frequently reference it when we are looking to fill new positions.

I applied online, should I also apply in person?

There is no need to apply both online and in person. Once an application is received a candidate profile is automatically created and our recruiters will review your application.

How long does it take to get a job?

There is no specific amount of time from application to position dispatch. Our ultimate goal is to make sure that you are placed in the right position for both you and our client. Our typical onboarding takes about 2 days.

I was told that I do not meet the qualifications for a specific position, now what?

Once an application is received a candidate profile is automatically created and our recruiters review our candidate network whenever we have new positions. Just because you are not a match for a current position doesn’t mean that we will not have a position for you in the future.

How much of a cut does The Job Shoppe take from my earnings?

We bill our clients separately. Therefore, we do not take any part of our candidate’s wages.

When will I receive my first pay?

Our payroll is processed on Fridays and runs one week behind. This means that you will be paid next week for any work done this week.
